Free to Stream July 22-26, 2019!
We live in a time when all the latest health and wellness information can be easily accessed by just about everyone. We can find out everything we want to know, from conventional medical approaches to alternative remedies, through internet research or library books… often without paying a dime.
This ready availability of information is an amazing gift. But, it makes one thing really clear:
Information alone is not enough to solve our food, body, and health problems.
If more information was all we needed, things would look pretty different. Everyone would have the answer to overcome whatever health challenge they’re facing. If information alone could do the trick, then none of us would be suffering from food and body concerns. And as you already know, that’s simply not the reality we’re living in.
Of course, having access to more information can be empowering. It can be liberating. But it so often leads to confusion. The health space is overflowing with experts who are proposing opposite approaches to the same issue. The most respected health gurus constantly contradict each other. This leaves so many of us frustrated and in a self-critical spiral, because we don’t understand why, even though we know what to do, we just don’t do it ...
That’s where health and wellness practitioners come in.
For many people, the next step in the search for healing is to consult with someone such as a nutritionist, dietitian, or naturopath. But too often, the practitioner simply assesses their situation and provides them with... lots more information. And if the practitioner doesn’t address the gap between “knowing” and “doing,” then the client can never truly find success.
Just look around: there are more health and wellness professionals today than ever before, but problems like weight concerns, overeating, binge eating, emotional eating, chronic dieting, body image challenges, and digestive issues are still on the rise.
At the Institute for the Psychology of Eating, our focus is on training coaches and wellness practitioners who can actually help people move from knowing - to doing - to living the life they came here to live. We recognize that for every unwanted behavior around food and eating, there’s a beautifully purposeful reason - and it’s often hidden from our conscious awareness. We understand that our struggles with food and body are here to teach us, and until we become willing to learn the lessons, we’re not going to get very far in our efforts to change and transform.
Dynamic Eating Psychology and Mind Body Nutrition, two revolutionary fields that we’ve pioneered here at the Institute, teach us that when it comes to food, body, and health, what we eat is only half the story; the other half is who we are as eaters. This means that to really shift, we need to recognize that our eating challenges are intimately connected to all of what makes us human: relationship, family, work, sexuality, spirituality, our search for fulfillment, and so much more. We also need to examine how digestion, assimilation, calorie burning, and all the nutritive functions of the body are impacted by mind, emotions, lifestyle, and much more. When these pieces are added, the puzzle becomes clearer, and we can begin to transform even the most stubborn eating challenges.
We’ve been around the coaching world for a long time (the Institute’s founder, Marc David, has logged more than 4 decades of coaching experience) and we’ve seen a lot of trends come and go. We’ve also found that there are some timeless practices that truly get results.
We started our premier Mind Body Eating Coach Certification Training because we’re committed to helping people all over the world break free from suffering around food and body issues. We realized that if, instead of just distributing more information, we actually trained skilled practitioners, that’s how we could make the biggest difference.
It's been so exciting to see how how many people have taken this work to heart, made it their own, and gone out into the world to help others heal and transform. And this summer, we're celebrating the master coaches and practitioners from across the disciplines who are advancing this movement to forever change how the world understands food, body, and health...
This summer, we’re bringing together more than thirty experienced coaches for a unique summit that’s all about exploring what really works when it comes to helping people find freedom from food, body, and health challenges. We’ll be talking to practitioners who have decades of coaching experience, and inviting them to share the tools, insights, and practical techniques that they’ve found to be most effective in their work with clients.
You’ll learn an abundance of strategies that you can apply in your own health and wellness practice - or use these ideas to take your personal journey with food and body to the next level of healing.
Learn why some coaches are so far ahead of the curve, and why they’re able to help their clients achieve lasting changes, while so many others struggle and stall out.
Each day of the summit, we'll release all-new video interviews with leading practitioners who are moving the needle and getting results. Every one of the featured experts have years of coaching experience (many working with clients for over 15 years!). They've seen hundreds of clients and they've refined their techniques over time, gradually dveloping a set of unique tools and skills that reliably work.
And now they're passing this wisdom on to you!
In this five-day summit, we’ll hear from practitioners from all kinds of backgrounds, who take many different approaches and work with a wide range of issues. You’ll get a fascinating window into lots of different coaching styles - and you’ll discover the essential coaching DNA that puts these experts in a class by themselves.
